And when I came across it, I was instantly intrigued by the movie cover. So after having read the synopsis, I did indeed decide that this was a movie that I had to watch, especially with my love for the horror genre. And now with the movie finished and watched, I must admit that "The Dead Room" turned out to be a really nice surprise of a movie.

The Dead Room (2015) is a 1h 20-min New Zealand low budget thriller horror movie that was an average horror movie that is a cliche to so many other movies but had enough thrills and scares to stand alone. Director Jason Stutter (Predicament (2010), Tongan Ninja (2002), Diagnosis: Death (2009), Careful with That Axe!(2008)) did an okay job executing this three characters/actor movie.
“The Dead Room” is more considerate than that. No matter how simple, shots are sensibly chosen, carefully blocked, and filmed with an extra flourish. If the camera has room to dolly, pan, or follow action on foot even slightly, it does so for an additional pinch of visual intrigue.
